About the TPA

The Tasmanian Pagan Alliance Inc. (TPA) is a not-for-profit Incorporated Association (IA10050) dedicated to Pagan networking. We host events and support other pagan and pagan interest events, Pagans in the Pub, produce our newsletter The Ravens' Call four times a year, and have a network of pagan friendly businesses that support us, all for the purpose of providing a platform for pagans in Tasmania to meet like-minded people, share information and knowledge, attend events and provide information on what's happening around the State, and keep people in touch with the Pagan community.

Our motto is "Strength through Diversity". This is the original motto of The Pagan Alliance, and we continue to use it today because we believe this motto describes us in a nutshell.

We established in 1997, originally as a branch of The Pagan Alliance, which was established in 1991. You can read about the history of The Pagan Alliance.

Since then, we have steadily grown over the years to what we are today - currently we have over 80 members all around Tasmania, host 3 Pagans in the Pub events statewide every month, host an event for almost every Sabbat, and our members participate in a range of workshops, fairs, picnics and more. Over 400 copies of the Ravens' Call are distributed each year, and we share a great relationship with many pagan interest businesses around the State.

So how did we achieve all this? With the help of amazing volunteers, of course! As we are a non-profit organisation, the TPA is run by a dedicated group of volunteers, with many years' experience in the local Pagan community. We have a President/State Coordinator, a Vice-President/Regional Coordinator, a Treasurer and a Secretary, and a Convener for each Pagans in the Pub moot. These people form our committee, and you can meet the team here. We host elections every even-numbered year (every two years, the next to be 2016), and any member can nominate themselves for a position. We also have a newsletter editor, a newsletter designer, a webmistress, and many members who help out at moots, events and more.

Of course, without our members, we wouldn't exist! Membership is a yearly subscription, and has only had one price rise in 15 years! Membership fees go towards running our website, producing our newsletter the Ravens' Call, hosting events around the State, and complying with our Incorporated Association status with the Tasmanian Government. Because we are not-for-profit, all funds go back into the TPA for the benefit of the members. You can read more about joining the TPA here.

The Tasmanian Pagan Alliance is Tasmania's only Pagan network, and it continues to grow and connect Pagans in Tasmania.
